Bull Mountain Oregon
Washington County’s Bull Mountain is a CPD or census-designated place as well as an unincorporated area within Oregon State in the U.S.A. Bull Mountain is located on a mountain that the place was named after. It’s surrounded by Beaverton up north, King City down south, and eastward by Tigard. Specifically, the northeastern part of the Bull Hill or Bull Mountain is within the city limits of Tigard, because Tigard was gradually getting annexations over parts of the unincorporated areas within its borders.
Bull Mountain had 9,133 inhabitants living within its limits as surveyed by the 2010 national census. The Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue offer their EMS and fire protection services for the CPD in question. Speaking of which, Tigard City has long intended to annex the Bull Mountain CPD or at least it considers the area a valid annexation candidate. This is because the CPD is included in its planned borders or territorial boundaries.
However, there’s a bit of controversy regarding incorporating and annexing the hill of Bull Mountain. Back in 2004, Tigard made an annexation proposal of the entire CPD under the Urban Service Provider Annexation method (otherwise known as the Oregon Revised Statutes Or. Rev. Stat. § 195.205). It chose that instead of another more unambiguous method (which in turn is known as the Or. Rev. Stat. § 222.125). Tigard’s chosen annexation method was considered nebulous or vague when it came to vote counting, and the city intended to use a combined voting method, which critics and Bull Mountain residents saw as gerrymandering.
