Felida Washington
Felida is a Washington State community that’s also one of Clark County’s census-designated places or CDPs under its jurisdiction. The U.S. CDP has 7,385 residents according to the national 2010 census conducted a decade ago. This is up from 5,683 inhabitants from 2000. The post office designated for this CDP is also called Felida and was founded way back in the 19th Century or 1890 but only remains in operation until 1906.
The name of the town comes from the name of a family of cats known as Felidae. Thus it’s Felida. Geography-wise, Felida can be found 11 kilometers or 7 miles away from the northern part of Downtown Vancouver, U.S.A. (not to be confused with Vancouver, Canada). It shares borders with the communities of Lake Shore by the southern borders and Salmon Creek by its eastern borders. The CDP, according to the Census Bureau of the U.S.A., has a total landmass of 7.5 square kilometers or 2.9 square miles. Meanwhile, about 0.4 square kilometers or 0.2 square miles of Felida, is composed of water.
The total territorial area of the community is 7.8 square kilometers or 3 square miles, thus making it about 4.74% composed of water while the rest of it land. As for demographics, Felida has a racial or ethnic makeup of 0.70% other (minority) races, 0.04% Pacific Islander, 0.58% Native American, 2.36% two or more races, 1.23% African American, 2.96% Asian, and 92.13% Caucasian. Among the Caucasians, there are about 5.2% Norwegian, 7.7% American, 10.3% Irish, 13.4% English, and 21.4% German. Hispanics or Latinos make up 2.59% of the residents.
As for the more touristy aspects of Felida, you have plenty of nearby tourist attractions to choose from. You can enjoy some parks and recreation activities with some water sports and outdoor hiking on the side at Whipple Creek Park and Vancouver Lake Park. You can also try more esoteric activities like the Glass Fusing with Friends Museum or have something more traditional like the Kids Club Fun & Fitness sports facility. There are also educational yet entertaining attractions like the Poison Prevention Control Garden and the Sprout and Blossom Farm.
