Do lice like clean or dirty hair?

Lice do not care if hair is clean or dirty. They are bugs that evolved to live on heads of all kinds and eat blood to survive. It’s not worthwhile to anthropomorphize head lice or label people as dirty or clean because they were unlucky enough to get head lice.
