Warning

The most common cause of treatment failure is not treating everyone in or close to the household who was possibly exposed to lice.

Lice primarily spreads through head-to-head contact. If you hug them, they might have it.

Dosage

One 4oz treatment bottle is enough for one complete treatment for average thickness, texture, and shoulder length hair.

Extremely thick, textured, or long hair may require more than one bottle to eliminate lice.

Tools

  • Bottle(s) of Lice Charmers Lice Treatment Oil
  • Detangling comb
  • Professional lice comb. Optional, but useful to ensure good results.
  • Clarifying shampoo and/or dish soap

Written Instructions

  1. Apply before bed to allow the oil time to work .
  2. Repeatedly part the hair and apply the oil directly to the scalp until it is completely saturated and wet looking.
  3. Tilt the head back and apply oil to the hair line in front and all baby hairs. Repeat for the side and back hairlines.
  4. Once the scalp is completely covered, use a detangling comb to spread the oil along the entire length of the hair. Applying more oil as needed.
  5. Optional: lice comb to remove viable nits (nits that have not hatched yet). Nits that are within one quarter inch of the scalp are viable.
  6. Leave on overnight for best results or at least one hour minimum. Use a towel to protect your bedding. Do not use a plastic bag on anyone’s head.
  7. Wash out with Lice Charmers Clarifying Shampoo and Conditioner or your preferred products. A small amount of dish soap may help remove any residual oil.
  8. Repeat this process 8-10 days later.
